On my current project I am going to have to install and remove the radiator a couple of times for reasons which are too boring for this post. Can anyone tell me if there is something I can coat the inlet and outlet of the radiator with that will prevent the hose from becoming stuck yet will not degrade the hose material?

I use a light coating of white grease, like Lubriplate

I use a thin, thin, thin coating of NAPA Silglyde on parts like that. It does not last forever like real silicon dielectric compound, but it is a LOT cheaper. Works pretty good on door seals that tend to freeze in the winter too.

For final assembly if I question the quality of the finish of the parts I sometimes use Formagsket #2 (non hardening) like I read in the Studebaker shop manual, but that it is messy stuff
