I took a ride over to the town of Victoria today & spent a little time at "The Rumble in the Park" car show put on by the Hellions Car Club. This was a small show- about 125 or so cars I think- but this is also the 1st year they put it on (correct me if I'm wrong on any of that). They had live bands, a pin-up gal contest, and alot more. They had a section for pre-'63s, but the show was open to all years. I wasn't able to be there long, but the show looks like it can be another great Texas event for us. The park setting took me back to the early Lonestar Roundups. Nice job, Hellions. Hope to see the show put on again next year. I'll post up some pics of the HAMB-friendly cars:
Good to hear. We need more events. By the way, I lived in Rockport for 16 years. Now in San Marcos and building my last rod. Another 57 Ranchero. My old one lives in Victoria now.Looking for parts for it. Jumping Jack Flash.
Victoria is ideal for South Texans because its so centrally located between Austin, San Antone, Houston, and Corpus. After losing the Billetproof show in Giddings, this helps ease the pain....
yeah i was there! that red A coupe in post three was mine. now to get it ready for the revolution in time
Thanks, I appreciate it. had a snag with the transmission so now its time for a t5 conversion. if that all goes smoothly it will be in austin
