  3. Interesting prop gun. Looks like a Colt Official Police .38 with an extractor assembly from a Colt single action. With a swing out cylinder there is no need for an extractor assembly on the barrel.

Btw, Ann Margaret is a beauty....

Looks Like Santiago Canyon rd and Chapman, Orange. I wonder if they just left Bob and Genes heading out to Cooks Corner in the 60's

  14. The most beautiful woman ever born in my opinion. And she is still a beauty today.

Don, I think there are a TON of folk who would agree on the BEAUTY of Ann-Margret Olsen. But the God-given talent that she deveolped, in many facets of music, TV, movies, entertaining the troops, etc., are hard to match. Fresh off "Ted Mack's Amateur Hour," she quickly became a hot property. Himself quite gifted, Dick VanDyke complained during production to his wife at the end of some days that "they" were turning "Bye, Bye, Birdie" into "The Ann-Margret Show"! (Dick's exclamation point.)

My reading ("back when" and NOW) leads me to believe that Ann and Elvis felt something more than screen chemistry. As an Elvis fan from '56, I wished they'd have gotten married. And, later, I wondered if Elvis regretted -- at least a little -- letting her get away to Roger Smith, whom we now know as her lifelong mate. ;)

I'm sure that entire books have been written on Ann (who naturally has a site of her own), but I think she added a rich, comedic and sexy presence to "Grumpy Old Men" when Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were nearing the end of their movie careers. Likewise, Ossie Davis and Burgess Meredith rounded out a fab cast.:)

    Bwwwahahaha!:D Good one!

And I'm with GRandma Retro on SWI's latest, and RaceRon, THANKS for the great movie posters (think I see some incomparable Reynold Brown material in there, too!).

Incidentally, GRandma Retro, if you're a grandmother, then what they say about fine wine aging especially well may be true! I think everybody here enjoys your pix AND commentary. Everyone should fit in as well, get into the HAMB spirit and not act like ill-behaved juveniles. (I think the silly-ass wisecrack about the president and former attorney general assassinated in the '60s has run out of gas and needs to be put to rest. If someone is trying to stir up trouble and get this great thread shut down, he may be surprised if Ryan or Kevin has to get involved. They've banned people for lesser sins than beating a dead horse of a tasteless joke.)

I really love shots that come off as largely UNstaged. Just, "Hey, everybody! Hold it a sec, and SMILE!!!":D

  30. Sorry Jim but no, I didn't notice dates or locations of those pics. I've collected digital photos mostly on the web for awhile & sometimes overlook such details, dammit :( True credit of course goes to the folks - both now and 'back in the day' - for taking, collecting and posting these 'history windows' on the web for others to view & enjoy.
