I have had my truck called a rat rod, bobber, and even junk:D; but I just finished the build and am proud of it. I know that some do not view bobber style trucks as traditional, but my dad had a similar style truck back in the 60's and I built this one to honor him. It has a quarter elliptical front suspension that I designed using the stock front axle. Engine is a 289 SBF with headers that I built and ceramic coated. Trans is a C4. Let me know what you guys and gals think. Take care--------Lee

I put about 300 miles on it at cruising the coast a couple of weeks ago. The front suspension works great.

Congratulations! I'm hoping to have my '35 on the road by the end of the year and it's very similar. Have fun.

Cool. Have fun with it. I like the 289.

My dream is to own a '36 IH. This is a severely butchered Photoshopped picture of my DREAM truck. One day man...one day.

Malarky, Funny that you posted a pic of your truck that you want. I plan on building another IH like your pic. I have another cowl, doors, hood, ----I just need a cab. I also found a nice 1.5 ton 35 that would be a good candidate. I seem to find these , so let me know if I can help get that dream to reality!

Very cool of you to offer your help! The one in that pic is one I was watching on ebay. It ended up going for over 6k, more than I was willing to spend. I almost wish I had just bought it and delt with the debt later. That is the American way I suppose. It was perfect for me, and I have a feeling I'll never find one like that again.

I like that you don't see to many of them at the shows, they are something different. I'd put either a flathead Ford in it or a big 'ol Caddy motor.

Awesome! I'm jealous. I like that they all have their fenders. Selling any of 'em?

I seem to enjoy fender less trucks regardless of the name. I am building one using a50 Mack cab I found in the salvage yard complete with grille shell. Piddle with it since I want to get my 56 F100 going first.
Would like to see pics of the front suspension also.

Thanks for the good words guys. I have a 42 Ford in the shop now as well a 40 Ford Model pickup that my wife is grinning ear to ear over! I do love the Internationals too.

Don't want to hijack this thread but I need the top of a drivers door for my 36. Just the window frame part, someone butchered it beyond use and I haven't found another so far. If any of you guys know of or have a drivers door that is destined for the scrap because the bottom is junk but has a good window frame section from the sill line up I would sure be interested. Maybe someday I can be posting to this thread with pics of mine!:D
