New old fart from Ft.Lauderdale

Hello to all. I stumbeled here after looking for some hot rod heros from Ridgewood N.Y. (Merkel, Sanzo, and Tarantola). I street raced from 1966 till I left the apple in 75. Have worked for Chevy, and Oldsmobile dealers before getting a job fixing County dump trucks, and now fire engines.

Every racer in the New York area knew where Jack Merkel shop was in Ridgewood Queens back in the day.

Sure brings back some wonderful memories of the 33 and 40 willys.
