I work with an older fella who helped these guys at the drag strip. He said they ran in the U.D.R.A. One of the original owners Larry Vail is a member on here.[IMG]

They ran funny injector stacks so no hole had to be cut inthe hood.[IMG]

The car originally ran the wedge out of a 64 max wedge car bought at Bryden motors in Beloit Wi. [IMG]There is a thread on here that died because of differences of how the car should be restored. It's too bad that someone can't build it the way it was and if they can't afford to trade it for a different one and let the new guy build it right.

I just got one and I have already gotten a 13:1 304 olds engine, with a stout hydro for it, have a narrowed 9" with 5.88 spool, really nice Moon tank for the front, a pair of 64 dodge A-100 van seats for it, but I am needing to know a good straight axle setup for it and steering set up. I have a nice set of 10" slots for the rear and a set of pie crust slicks also. Here is the car, keep in mind I just got it like 4 days ago so its still ugly! I am going to try and have it at the HAMB drags next year! Sans visor LOL... I am going to go for a 60's gasser look, but it will be raced. Jim <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->

  23. Here are a couple of recent shots of my Henry J Gasser project.
It is all steel with a steel tilt nose, we just got the body back on
the chassis after doing the chassis, firewall and cowl of the body.
Next will be the rear quarters and the doors and then into paint.

Im not sure what approach to take with the one I bought.. looking at all these and the ones on the other thread makes it a little overwhelming..

maybe a few tips and ideas would be helpful... Ive owned a few in the past.. I wasnt happy with any of the results from the past cars I owned....

All I know is it wont be original..
