A couple of days ago the wife went out to eat and look what she brought home. A 1956 210 4 door post!! I was floored just seeing the car and that everything was matching by the numbers. But i was truley floored when she said it was only 5500. She asked me if she had got a good deal. I think i will let all of you answer that.:D Its has the stock straight 6 that runs perfect. The interior is brand new. Everything on the car has been restored to spec or is original and in perfect condition!!

1 - Don't let the 4-door haters bring you down...
2 - Go introduce yourself first before the post police get on you...
3 - Sounds like a pretty cool wife you got there...

If by clear we are talking paint then naw I just got her shined up real good. lol. As for the doors. We just had a cruise the coast down here with thousand of cars and it seemed half of them were 2 door 56 and 57s. A 4 door as she rolled off the line is so refreshing. :)

What is it with the preoccupation with two doors over there? Are some of you truly that little and petty?
Its a bloody nice car and an even better wife!! Lucky man indeed!!

    Doc.

That looks like a very nice shoe box, she did well on buying it. Nothing wrong with 4 door cars.

Thanks folks. I am lucky on both sides. I have done the Hot Rod and go fast stuff before but there is just nothing to me like a old car that looks like it came of the show room floor after 50 or 60 or even 70 years.

Looks like a good buy. I love the 56 Chev, reminds me of my youth only mine was a 2 door post.

Good for you and I agree, you have a great wife!

If the rest of the car is like the left greenhouse area you posted it appears she got a great deal. Cool car, excellent wife!

Welcome to the forum. One of my favorite cars is a 56 Chevy 2-door Bel Aire. But I'd be happy with that car----and your wife.
Yes, you are very lucky in many ways. Looks like a great car and an even greater deal.
Once my wife bought a 1955 2-door post Chevy at a yard sale. Actually she first called me, calling it a hard top. I still didn't get mad when it was a post car. And I would have been happy with a 4-door.
Guess we are both lucky. ;)

Wow , is that ever thoughtful of your wife . The last time I heard something like that was when a buddy was telling his wife about a '63 Galaxie in Classic Auto Trader . She knew he always wanted a '63 ...he comes home from work one night , opens the garage , and sees the Galaxie !....courtesy of his honey !
