  2. His 32 5 window coupe is behind the maroon 34 in that pic, he's owned it since 59 and it will hopefully be here this winter for me to rebuild what he had built back then

Very cool to have that much Hot Rod Heritage in the family!! What are his plans for the '32 Roadster?

  4. Long story short.....early 90's got a Martz frame for his 5 window and started collecting parts for it. His plans were a street rod, fully fendered, SBC...... But he always wanted a roadster. Got offered a EMI roadster a few years ago and plans changed, sell the 5 window to his son and build his dream. It will be full fendered and stock looking with the upgraded suspension and drive train. Still debating stovebolt or a SBC.

on the road next summer I hope. Finished??????. Not hamb friendly, but has complete homebuilt round tube chassis, Jag rear, and all alum. independent front. Love the 33!

  12. I'm hoping to get mine on the road by next summer. Like you said it won't be finished but I want to get it driveable. Paint and chrome will come later. My 79 year old dad has been waiting a few years to get the first ride.

Figure this is a good fit here. One of my favorite rods from the forties era, Dick Fords chevy roadster. A lot to see here. What a beautiful car...

    And then there were two.
Went to the monroe swap meet last week and couldn't leave this behind. I now have two '29 chev roadster bodies.

Gathering parts for a '24 chev speedster. Have a '28 banger motor and three port head. Today I scored this grill shell.

Sorry, That's the "paper" I have. I'll be using a '26-'28 frame. I'd like to do a chev axle up front and an "A" axle/spring in the rear.

  22. Bitchin' It has a prewar vibe.

Is that a blue flame 6?

  23. I should of also said it has the right look for prewar dry lake racing.

Jimmy, I finally found that piece today! I'm trying to clean a big enough spot in the shop to get started now that I have a frame, I found it tucked away in a "safe spot" where it wouldn't get lost. I added the pictures to the '26 album. They are the last 4. It is much smaller than the same piece for your '25 because the compound curve on the '26 (at least on mine) is part of the deck lid. The deck lid on the '26 is much longer and and has an "S" curve. I'm trying to sort out the lose wood parts so I can see if I have to replace it all. I really would like to leave some if the body could still be solid. It is interesting that even by the time the S/G roadster was in it's rear engine form the doors at least still had wood. We'll see.
