I've been here a while, but resisted the idea of an intro; decided to play by the rules, so here goes. Page 190 of Scrapbook talks about Jim Perkins plus three friends taking a road trip from Tulsa to LA area in 1953 in his '40 coupe. I was one of the three, the others, both now dead, were my older brother, Bob, and Guy Stroud. My first car, in 1951 was a '32 tudor (paid $20), never got it running as Bob found a much nicer '34 in 1953 and our parents said "only one non-operating car". I sold the '32, we put a 322 Buick, Olds rear, Packard trans and a bunch of speed equipment we got from A D Logan's Balchowski built cars into Bob's '34. I just picked up what will likely be my last car from HAMBer "eternal 29" in Montana. As you might guess, it is another '32 tudor, chopped & channeled, build style is mid 1950s, Tulsa version.

Hey Terry! Glad you got the '32! Sounds like you're reliving your youth, and that's a good thing for us oldtimers!-Vall
