Event Coverage Monticello, IA Swap Meet 10-21-12

Anyone in HAMB land going to the Monticello, IA Swap Meet this Sunday, 10-21-12? It should be nice weather versus the awful weather last weekend at Hawkeye Downs (Cedar Rapids)

27T and I were wondering if this one wouldn't be bigger than usual, maybe some of the venders that skipped Cedar Rapids will go to Monticello instead?

 

Hmmm I forgot about it. Might have to check it out.

 

That is certainly what I am thinking. I will be there in hopes of making up for the disaster that was Cedar Rapids.

 

Oddly enough we both got some great deals in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, don't know if people were quicker to deal because of the weather/low turnout or what the deal was. Wettest I've ever been at a swap meet though.

 

At Hawkeye, I only unpacked about 1/4 of my items and was gone by 9:00 am. The majority of the time I was in my truck with the heater on trying to dry out and warm up.

 

Bump for the Saturday Night - looking for something to do Sunday - crowd.

 

The verdict is in!

The Monticello swap meet was the biggest I have ever seen. All in all, I had a good day, made some deals, and got to talk about cars in some great fall weather. How can you beat that?

 

Man i forgot that was this weekend.. was gonna try to find fenders for my plymouth..
