Chrome air cleaner?

Ok who makes a plain chrome air cleaner like the mr gasket one at the parts store with good chrome? I have bought a couple from the parts store and they last about 6 months and start rusting. I keep them clean and polished and they still rust. I don't mind spending some cash I just hate to do it on more junk. It is 14" for a 4 barrel.

Find one of your liking and have it professionally re-chromed.

 

what about a edelbrock air cleaner?

 

Buy one of the repops at Long Island Corvette Supply, Ecklers etc. Good quality and no names stamped into them. I have had no issues with any from LICS. Order the one for the 66 as I have oredered 3 for myself or other customers

 

I still have my "DZ" air cleaner in the garage.. It started to rust a few years back...

 

steel wool it off, and spray silicone the crap out of it.

 

Might be better than Chinese chrome,the Edelbrock I had has a "Made in Taiwan" sticker on it. Ol' Vic says "made in America", maybe we have a 52nd state we don't know about

 

Have any of you guys run the Mooneyes straburst one? That one looks sweet I wonder if the chrome is any good?
