Be Honnest - Too Much Bling?

The gauge panel looks brilliant, but it is a bit "gold-chainer" to use on a traditional rod, I reckon. Perhaps you could trade it for a whole car to someone with more money than brains.

A really nice piece....but I would go for nickel plate instead of the chrome, it would contrast nicely with the engine turned facia.....and like has been mentioned by others, the gauges look too new..a set of originals would suit better...but hey, it's not mine and it is a mighty nice set up whatever, I love the surround with the little tails, very neat.

 

i think i would go to the pawn shop , find a fancy chain and start a new bling bling jewel line , MAN THAT IS FINE you and your freinds did a great job

The gauges and engine turned panel is beautiful. I have done some engine turning in the past and the pattern on this is different and the best I have seen. I will try this pattern the next time I do some, I really like it. Thanks for showing it.

 

PERFECT!!!!!!!!!! I've got the same dash planned for my Roadster but plan to use SMITHS gauges that would have been in a 1962 Cobra. How were the holes cut in the engine turned panel? I'll need the same holes cut in the aluminum Pierce Arrow casting that Alchemy made, a real nice item. Thanks for the post. Bob

I keep going back and looking at this dash, study it, look at the details of how the engine turned swirls are evenly spaced between the gauges. There is a ton of time in this piece. This is Pebble Beach quality work. Bob

Thanks! I really appreciate the very positive response. As some of you have noted, this is a piece you build a car around. I have a concept fermenting in my mind. Definitely a 32 Ford. Most likely a 5 window coupe. And it will have a Rolling Bones/Jitney inspired front suspension that will be based around my narrowed 46-48 Lincoln axle.
