Doesn't matter if you're a Willys guy, that car is worth way more than that. Buy it. If it was mine and I had to sell I'd be asking closer to 50-60k. Dump the mustang II. (And the 460 IMHO)
Hope you bought it already-if not then tell your friend to list it for sale-he will get way more than that from what I can see
If you are not interested in the car and you want to help your friend then tell him to list it here and he will get a lot more for it. Damn dude if you are not a Willys fan and this is your friend turn him on to the HAMB... Hope he gets some big bucks for it....
I'm not a big Willys guy and even I know that's a deal for what you're getting. Look at it this way, unless the economy totally craps out, you'll always be able to get your money back - and then some - if for some reason you don't like it. But I'd offer it back to the buddy first.
I think everyone is assuming too much. Could be a rusty heap with some amatuer body work and paint. Looks like a 70s build. I'm pretty sure the seller is the same guy I bought parts off of years ago and they were super rough. I think 30 is still a decent price.
Ha ha. exactly. It's probably just up the road from many of you who were lining up ready to buy it so I'm guessing one of you must have at least seen it? If it is such a good deal, (and at an opportune time when our economy is doing so well and everyone has deep pockets), I'm guessing it sold in a matter of moments. I'm not saying that its not worth it, it probably is, but I love the way everyone assumes its worth millions without having seen the car. If its your friends car, then you are more familiar with it than anyone here, and as such are in a better position to estimate its value. There are also 3 others for sale currently in the classifieds, for varying prices which may give you a better steer and help you decide. The bottom line is what it is worth to you and if you actually like or even want the car. If not, leave it to someone who does.
Personally, just me, cool car but I can think of quite a few other things I'd rather spend that kind of cash on. Somehow I just don't get the insane prices for these, and deuces either. I'm just not into buying an 'it' car for ridiculous prices, no matter how good of a deal it might be.
Ha Ha! It'll be gone by the end of the day! True! There's a reason why it's white. If you look closely you can see the body is on the rough side. Now if you can see that on a white car, what's it going to look like when you go to strip and re-do it?
So you asked if it was worth it everyone appears to agree....are you buying it or just showing off what you found?
