There was a guy across the street from my shop who did hand lettered signs, one of the last ones left in Orlando, this was about 20 years ago. He was going to a job and had his helper in the back of his truck, the guy fell out, was hit by another vehicle and died, he quit that day and never did another sign again, he blamed himself for his employee's death.

    Good Gawd...how aweful!! ^^^

Well, you'd probably hafta get right up closed to tell what you're dealing with.

'Could' be sprayed, could be vinyl, could be brushed out through a frisket mask, or it could just be a good sign guy that nows how to make his paints flow correctly.
Ya do it over enough years, and you kinda develop a 'feel' for it.

I don't mean to change the thread so if you have the answer please pm me. Thanks. How do you get the crisp lines of those all-American headlights with the adjacent colors? Any of you that have been down that road before I surely would appreciate a step by step explanation.

    Thank you very much. Cosmo

Hey guys, I know this is'nt a truck door, but I thought it would fit in here. This is a sign I recently painted for a friend of mine. Its mounted on an old barn where he builds racecars.

I've been in the Full Time Sign Shop Business since 1971,,,41 years, you see a lot of jobs come and go...My only regret is I wish I had taken pictures of stuff I lettered....never knowing what it would mean to me today...guess I was too busy trying to make a living and raise a family....Looking at some of these jobs really humbles me too just what type talent there is in theis country.....Some of you guys are amazingly talented and I honor your work..........Thanks for bringing back some memories of some I did in years past....I'd see one of your jobs and think, I did one that looked similar to that back in 19??..........again, thanks for the memories......"Keep the Brushes Oiled"
