Can you explain the door skins? That's a neat idea but how'd you fasten them after paint. Glue? Great color and a clean build. Like the console gauges and switches.
Thx man. The door skins came that way on 63-65 Riv's. Not sure on later years. They bolt on with a series of small fasteners that go all the way around the edge of the skin.
They're stock 65 Riv power vent windows. I used my 63 quarter windows and frames and transferred the motors.
Your car looks great! The color's awsome. I heard from Brent that you had moved to California. How are thing going down there? Ryan
I second the color comment. Awesome. And its amazing how those tailights look right at home in there. Proof that theres no real set rule to kool
Yup. Here's a shot comparing the standard and power vent window assemblies. I basically did what you suggested and just put the motor on the crank vent.
The car turned out great! I like the 1/25 scale model for inspiration. What do you use for the windows/vents? Is that what all the toggles on the dash are for? The interior sure looks clean. I'd love to have a '63 dash in my '65, best of both worlds. Good luck in Irvine. Mike
Mike, the toggles are for the windows. I wanted really clean door panels. You know, I don't know the difference between a 63 and 65 dash. I'm a little embarrassed by that.
Sweet car And, looks amazing, I will be looking for 63-64 dash inserts and steering wheel for my 65, the difference is the alluminium look panels for the gauges and the glove box lid, where the 65 is all black, and the 63-64 steering wheel is too cool with the little chrome touches and the 2 tone paint, much cleaner look, here's mine with the factory 65 panels.....Brian
