A few weeks ago, I called John at home. He had his wife screen the call because he was afraid of what I might say. I could hear the shame and disappointment in her voice. She so badly wanted a real man...

Maybe she'll be at the Revolution too!

This was before she left... She's long gone now.

I'm coming.....might be coming alone but I am coming damn it! Very excited to attend. I have been wanting to hit this one up for a few years now and I'm finally getting my chance.

22 hrs of driving one way for a one day show......it's gotta be good right!?

I've long maintained that the Power Plant Revolution just might have been the best car show ever assembled with less than 150 cars. That was a special day at a special place during a very special time. I'll forever be looking up at that show.

The Camp Mabry Revolution has the potential to be just as good... And I think it would have been last year had the weather cooperated.

I'm on pain killers at the moment due to a bum shoulder, so my filter is turned low. That being said, if there is one aspect to the Revolution that makes it so special it's this:

The show has never really made a profit and no one involved has ever really cared. I've been lucky enough to do this with my brother Keith Tardel, and two of my best friends in the world - Steve Wertheimer and Will Muntz. It's been a perfect storm of sorts in that this show represents a reprieve for all of us - just a way to relax, have fun, and really focus on what's important to us as a group. This show is 100% drive by passion. I love that.

Boss still has not approved my vacation time but like John on Thursday I shall flip the main switch off and climb into my Ford and head for Austin.
Could be I will be stricken with a bad attack of Motoring Insanity.
The power plant show was indeed just about the best show ever - but I always take the view that the next one will be even better!
    See you all in Austin.

You wanna swing by and pick me up on the way? I'll even rep your site with the new gear you sent me. ;) :D

  20. Headin' over from Norway for my first attendance. Looking forward to it. And since I can make $9490 a month on the internet like Debora, I'll be able to pay for my plane ticket while drinking beer.
    Awesome.

Absolutely, the power plant was an amazing show. Really great cars & an incredible picture location.

The weather sucked last year, but the quality of the show didn't suffer from it. I'm looking forward to this years Revolution.

  23. Jeffrey, you will love doing it for each and every mile - I did it last year (and unfortunately cannot do it again this year) and it was a great show, a great ride. I hope to return next year but in my roadster .....
