i will not fight to grommet another hole in fiberglass----thank you---its so simple i should have thought of it

  4. a pleasure to watch each little progress, Steve! Ain't it beautiful when the first amperes are floating? i think this is the moment a car comes back (or first, in your case) to life, even if it's a parking light..

keep on, mate, what a killer that car will be! ;)

Hahaha, glad to be of assistance Brian, i started doing this grommet thing around 30 years ago. Once upon a time they mae grommets with a wider groove especially for fibreglass but I havn't seen any for years.

I had to go see local trimmer Steve Hudson and thought I would drop off my door panels I made earlier at the same time for trimming, As usual Steve was real busy but he said leave them on the side and will sort them when he gets a chance :( i just specified 2" diamonds and they needed to be quite plump.
4 days later Steve called me and said they are done
Can't thank Steve enough for a superb job on them, cheers mate.

The Bigbossman came over to add some lettering to the hood for me, I took a few pics as he worked his way through numerous cups of tea and I don't know how many slices of fruit cake, an olympic fried breakfast & a Roast Beef dinner

    The pics speak for themselves

Ok, Steve. It's bad enough you pop hubcaps and take them back to England with you, now you are taking license plates too !!!!:D

Lettering looks great, but it sounds like it would have been cheaper to pay him than to feed him ! :D Good thing Sue is a good cook.

I'm just glad you didn't take any pics of me in that cafe, when I had to put me belly on the table cos the seats were static to the table, it was a tight squeeze. [IMG]
Thanks for a great day anyway mate, Mandy had a smashing time in Brighton with Sue and you kept me entertained with your jokes and dodgy music, I'm not really a big fan of Steps or Pat Boone or The Pet Shop Boys or The Communards but your dancing and singing certainly was entertaining whilst making that indicator switch.[IMG]

Hope the chalk marks came off ok, everything sinks into primer [IMG]

If "Bigbossman" ever heads down under for some R & R, tell him he will need to bring his brushes!
