I have always thought that a 32 5 window coupe is my ultimate hot rod, and did not think I would ever get one. But, after selling my 36 3 window, I had the funds to search for one. I found this coupe in Colorado. It has been in a shed since the 60's.I think it is a pretty solid body. Main problem is around the trunk lid where someone has done some stick welding years ago. Otherwise the only rust is in the right hand quarter panel. Floor is a big banged up but repairable. No rust in the doors (wow). I know guys are working with a lot worse. I have always been told by old panel beaters I know, it is always best to start with the best body you can afford, sometimes with 32's you do not have a lot of choice. It is complete with all the garnish moulds, dash, header, trunk lid. I am stoked to finally have it. Plans at this stage are: highboy, 327, 5 speed. It will have to wait until I finish my tudor, which is at body work stage. chassis is done.

That is a nice start!!!! Great shape. Those pics should be added to the 1932 Ford 5w reference thread I started. Nice details shots right there.

I am really going to miss my 5w....or the possibilities and plans I made for my 5w.

Thanks HRP for posting my pics. Humanfly - you might think 5 speeds are gay, but I want to drive this thing anywhere and everywhere without a hassle. Been there, done that with a flathead and 3 speed. Want more reliability.

Not yet but I have to sell that and one other car because I bought a 32 Phaeton body to help with this ever growing James Gang aka my family :D:D:D. It's an Aussie body, you've gotta at least like that right?!

  20. HAHAHAHAHA you couldnt give one of those ugly Aussie bodies to an Aussie, most of us want coupes or roadsters. Like Fosters......we dont drink that shit either.

  23. Hey Scotti, looks great !! If only the bank would've been a little flexible with their lending I would have snapped up your '36 3W. Hey when are we going to see some photos of your 32 Sedan - I want to compare notes!!

  24. Nice score, congratulations.

It might need some bigger wheels on it, not sure I am digging the ones on it now ;)

Gee that's a nice body . I hope your not going to destroy it by putting bog in it ? Shove it on a chassis , chop the shit out of it , and drive the sucker hard ? Just my 2 cents .

Shit happens when you want your family to be with you more then you want less doors. I'm actually very excited about this deal even if it is an old ugly Aussie Body. ;)
