Hey all looking for a great machine shop/ engine builder in lower CT or NY, if farther so be it. I have a World Products 415 that needs to be torn down and completely gone through! Motor will be used for street use (for the most part). Any help would be very much appreciated!
With all the NASCAR modifieds running the northeast circle tracks I cannot imagine that finding a damn good engine shop would be difficult. Maybe ask around at some of the genuine speed shops, not the over the counter parts stores.
Not as many speed shops left in the Stamford/Norwalk area! There was a guy in Norwalk I used many years ago he owned Phils Machine shop but like all good things he is looong gone.
Auto Turismo in New Milford, Ct. Don't be scared off by their name, they do ALL types of engine work on ALL high-perfomance machines. 458 Danbury Road New Milford, CT 06776 (860) 350-2128. Ask for Steve or Russ.
Scinto Automotive, Stratford, CT. 30+ years of experience, father/son team. Never heard anything but praise for them. Chris
I wasn't. I asked them to set my motor up at "0" deck. Instead of measuring everything and cutting the block square, he assembled it and then decked it - thats right - decked it assembled and actually ended up cutting one of the pistons (and messing up the ballance job i paid for) and throwing chips into the motor - i will never bring anything back there.
I was just at this shop in Groton CT. to take a look around. I have decided these guys are going to do my inline 250. You can eat off the floors at this place, super nice people. They do alot of SK modified engines. Here's some pics. Plenty of toys! Gary the owner giving me the tour The loud room
If you don't mind traveling a bit further, here's a link to a local engine builder that is absolutely top notch. http://www.jensensenginetech.com/
