Hi, new to the forum here from NE Iowa. Began playing with cars in the mid 70's, still playing with cars. Did some drag racing from the late 70's up through the late 90's, mostly local and regional tracks. Still got a few cars lying around including my favorite race car of old, a little '75 Monza 2+2 named Monzilla. Lots of good times in that H-body.

I grew up in the Alburnett/Central City area. Now living near Manchester. Monticello is about 25 minutes away from our acreage. Used to cruise up to Loops Ballroom on Saturday night for some good dancing and good company when I was quite a bit younger.
My aunt's family has run the (R & W truck stop, Danica's and now Darrell's) on old 151 across the street from the old high school since the late 40's. It's a common late night places to get a good meal. Carmak
