Never met the man, but I saw his T (in its earlier black-and-blown incarnation), together with Ivo's, at some Armory car show in LA circa 1955. His humorous interpretation of hot rod style influenced the construction of literally thousands of T's over several decades. Virtually none of those copies matched the original for style. A huge inspiration to the hobby.

    RIP, Norm.

I met Norm four times. Three at car shows and one time at Mistys Steak House in Lincoln, Nebraska. On the latter occasion he invaded our private dinner party and proceeded to entertain our group into the wee hours. We laughed so hard. I'll never forget Norm. I'm glad I had a chance to share a drink with him. I have a signed poster of his Life Magazine picture (circa 1957)on my wall. When I think of our hobby, I think or Norm. He was one of the great ones. R.I.P.

I met him at the EastCoastIndoorNationals in2010. Went to dinner with him what a great time! He had the Fish Truck at the show. Got some pics of him in my coupe. Sat with him while he signed posters for people. We joked like old friends. He was a down to earth guy.It was an honor to meet him. Norm you will be missed.
