  5. Dam!!!! Our thoughts go to the family, though Norm always made us all feel like family. We have lost a Real One you all!!!! That's all I can say right now!

    Sad news indeed,.....many of my smiles and chuckles over the last forty-five or so years have been a direct result of what he shared with us.

    May he rest in peace.

    when i was a lil kid i came across the Life magazine with that iconic pic of you and your Tbucket ,,it inspired me so much i did a drawing of it for a school project book report collage i worked on......I had the oportunity to meet you several years back, you were the bigger than life personality just like i imagined.....

    That is exactly how I feel. when someone who has had a good long life has past. Celebrate their life and honor their deeds.

    Norm was one of the coolest nice guys to ever grace our sport. I feel lucky to have methim, experienced his great smile and a little chat. Get a nice big soft cloud ready up there, he will be useing it. Be watching for some skull shapes in the clouds. R.I.P. good brother. ~sololobo~

    My life was richer for Norm being my friend, A nicer man you would be hard pushed to find, RIP Norm.

    Very sad news indeed. As a kid I "knew" Norm through the magazines. It was at the 1977 NSRA Nationals in Minneapolis, MN that I had the opportunity to meet Norm. He was indeed, larger that life.

    Never met the man , but he sure was an influence in me being "hooked" on street rods . As a young teen I would faithfully watch 77 Sunset Strip on Friday nights . Forget the plot , I wanted to see Edd Kooky Byrnes jump in the T , shake the shifter and speed off . Later I read about who's car it actually was and I got to know about Norm Grabowski .
    I'm sure he's kickin' ass and peelin' tires somewhere .

    I visited with Norm at the Starbird show in Wichita awhile back. Great guy, seemed to be everyone's friend.
