  2. No drip rails on the '37! Hood hinges also...'37 has 2 outside hinges (like today's cars)...'38's have the single piano center hinge.

  4. Excuse me if this one has been posted already... one great Willys gasser that came early on the scene, the Grist Bros. '41 coupe. Ran 430 MEL power with a GM hydro, was an absolute killer in its day. As you can see, the car had a look all its own, too. Badass.

Thanks 41will for the great deal and the some of the history of the old truck. Also thanks MEGasser for the great deal on the steal front end. I got it Thursday and I'm very happy. I look forward to putting this old truck together.

    That thing is so killer..

Stop thanking me and put it together already. :)

I think it needs a build thread. Either way hopefully I can stay up to date on how it's going and turns out. Had to print off some pictures of your current stable and how this one is going to show my father who was interested in seeing them.

But looking good in mock up :)

Not sure if it's fiberglass or just put hidden hinges on ?

One of the very few MEL successes. Nice to see someone actually get some HP from that boat-anchor motor.

Glass car - no wiper holes or bosses on the roof and look at the rocker panels - 99% of the time they are molded into the quarter panel. Original rockers are a separate piece....

Many people remove the rain gutters from steel cars - mine included and I know who makes the glass cars with gutters. I believe that he also molds the rocker panels separately from the quarter panels and builds the most accurately detailed and true to the orignal 'glass body bar none - that's what the original maker of those molds told me years ago....

    Mullins,
It looks great. Cool place you have there.

  22. Yes, not the most common engine around. Ted Cyr, Earl Canavan, and Rodney Singer, to name a few more. Singer won the U.S. Nats in Detroit in '59.

Never seen a glass car with the raised bead on the firewall, looks like its steel.

Click on the link and read the add, says "all steel". It looks a lot like the one Buckaroo publications was building.
