Everything about that car is on the money! Color, wheels, engine, I love it all. I am surprised nobody has mentioned "you'll never make it home running that Fram filter".
Really looks good. I took many a vacation trips in the rear seat of one of those wagons as a child. Good times......
Flashback - My Dad had one of those new as a company car. He was a territory rep for a carpet mfg. His did 40k miles in 18 months (a LOT in those days) loaded to the windows with carpet samples - This followed a 61 Ford, 63 Chev, and was followed by 65 and 67 Fords. Wish I could have them all back now. Enjoy your new find!
Nice wagon. I noticed that it was turning 2k rpm at 50 mph, Wow I bet it sucked up some gas on that trip. What tranny and what is the rear end gear? I put a 2004R in the C-10 with 3.73 rear end, it now runs down the highway at 70 mph at 2k rpm.
Cool wagon, and the motor looks sweet too. Taking a road trip like that is a lot of fun, making some memories every mile! Did you buy it from an individual or a dealer?
Cool ! Bring it to Top Notch Hamburgers on Burnet Rd this Saturday night for Hot Rod drive in night. Tomorrow night around 7:00 .September 8th.Love the stay wag
Bought the car from a fellow hamber in Jacksonville Fl and drove it back ,did 250 miles on a single tank
