How about a old Ford GAA 60deg V8, 1100 cu in (used in Sherman tanks) with two 671's front to back.

  7. probably not, just send it up here and i'll check to see if it fits my motor....

Yah, Cragar made a few different designs. I have a mag race intake w/o water outlets.
Snout length depends on a lot of things...how may vbelts you run (street motor) style of pulleys. 4 vs. 6-71 are differnt lengths and depending on intake used lengths could be different, but they make spacers for to line things up too.

heres a picture of my 8v71 for my BBC, (the carbs are just some old 1460 cores not the ones for the motor)I love the way these blowers look and dont mind the fab work to make them work. Also the fact many folks don't want to put the time in to make one work you can buy them dirt cheap!!

How about something different, a 6-71 on a Binder 345.

Also, it is hard to tell from the video, but this looks like it may answer coopsdaddy's question about a remote thermostat.

  12. Neat mill.

Should make that 3D and then check out the blower belt.

  13. Something doesn't sound right on that Binder.
Have you adjusted the fuel curve since then?

No ones ever answered my ? What's a better choice for a hot small block,4or671,dyers,Hampton,etc. I don't want a bunch of logos or name engraved just a nice gmc rebuild in a cast finish with great cust service

  19. 4 or 6 71 depends on your cubic inches and the amount of boost you want to make and how fast you want to spin the blower. Slower is better because the charge stays cooler.

I'm going to guess you'll find the 671 is what you'll end up with @ slightly under driven ratio.

There are a few guys who do nice work on GMC units.

  20. Have you talked to the guys at Mooneyham blowers? Street or strip, Gene's were the best. The fellows that bought the business when Gene died are carrying on the tradition. Gene did my short snout 6-71 in '96, and it is still performing flawlessly 15,000 miles later. They have a website with contact info.

The blower shop did a nice job on mine, was reasonable but not a give away price.

Ill check them out,i didnt know they were still in bussiness.
This is the way i want to set mine up with a cragar race intake, drill and tap heads and have a adaptor made to take a flathead style hose, that way i can use a stock style radiator but just worried about not running a thermostat(maybe washers)?

The guy who rebuilt that blower is in Tucson. I don't have his name, but I've been meaning to get it.

Used to be you could find neat parts like that on ebay, they seem to have dried up for the most part
