Chris, I was there last weekend and had a blast. Had hoped to be back for this one and found out the wife scheduled a vacation that weekend.
Wont make this one, but bet you see me some next year in a new altered.

The Gas House Gasser Index racing is an Open Invite.....

Indexes 6.00 through 8.50 with half second intervals......
1972 and under with no electronics......sportsman tree......trans-brake allowed......Contact Dennis via PM at SENIORFRIED with any questions about this class.....

*There will be NO open test n tune....come out, smell the nitro and watch some great nostalgia drag racing, don't forget your ear plugs! There are three Championships on the line in Outlaw Fuel Altered, Texas Blown Fuel and Southwest Junior Fuel! There will be a Cacklefest and exhibition runs throughout the day!

Any Pre-72 car driven to the event gets in for $20 per carload! Discount general admission coupons are available at North Star Dragway front gate from now until the weekend of the event and we will likely have some sort of display at the Wal-Mart or Albertsons off Hwy 380 in Denton on the Friday before the event with discount coupons there as well!

First 40 (or until the area reserved is full) show quality Pre-72 cars get preferred parking in the pit side between the fence and snack bar, right in front of the staging lanes!

Does the Gizzle Hopper qualify for the gasser index thing? I think we can do a 8.50??????????

 

Any chance of coming out for sum regular TNT on Friday night and spending the night in the pits like we did at the Texas Thaw this year ? I am planing to race Saturday as well at the Nostalgia event .My truck has a sleeper in back and i wont be any trouble ...

 

Yes Friday will be regular North Star Dragwya Friday Test N Tune and spending the night is permitted ;-)

NSD is expecting 20 OFAA cars and probably 30 SWJFA / TBFA cars. They will be reserving parking spots for organized pit parking for OFAA, TBFA, SWJFA only (so the series' can park together) and all parking in the pits beyond the designated areas is open and parking Friday is permitted as well as camping overnight. There are many OFAA, SWJFA & TBFA teams testing on Friday night! It will be a sneak peak of what's to come on Saturday!

Also, some of you might also be interested in racing Sunday at the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge.....big weekend next weekend at NSD! more info on that at www.tmccc.org

Dear Mr. Maxcackle, I plan on doing some nice rolling burnouts and if you could catch one of my car from the side or rear 1/4 (I already have plenty from the front) that will be a quick sell.I generally take them past the tree so please keep your eyes peeled for my little buggy

I have a better idea, the best pictures of my car were done by friends and soon to be new friends in the crowd. If any of my buddys out there with a camera can snap a keeper of me during a burnout from the side or rear quarter I will treat you to a beer or 3 in the pits. I'll be racing this Saturday too....let me know if you want to line em up for keeps! Burnouts don't mean anything at the finish line.

Then, after I win, next year you can take my photo of me doing a burnout in your car (and I won't but it)! ;-)
