well i got the car home and have done some tinkering... drove it to my wedding. figured i would share some pics until i start a build thread... some may be dublicates of a previous post but i had computer trouble and wasnt sure if they got put up..hope you all enjoy
wife loves it, we drive it everywhere.... its a pretty sweet old car and its really solid and in great shape.
Congratulations on the nuptials and scoring a nice old Model A,,looks like a couple of keepers to me. HRP
this is my 36 ford flathead that i scored off a friend that put a 50 merc flathead in his 36 ford coupe... this engine was completley remanufactured by ford motor company and i have all the documentation. i picked up the motor, complete with trans and fully running with a 36 ford rad to match for $400.. i was pretty happy.. id like to put it in my a over winter
Man, normally i prefer them without the fenders but jesus christ.. update the driveline to the flathead v8 stuff, and please leave the body and fenders just as it is! It looks so fucking perfect.
im leaving the car just how it is, but updating all the driveline wth the v-8 and im leaving the hood and side panels on. so basicly it will look just like it does now, accept i think i may put a set of 1935 wire wheels on it with some firestones.... leaving it all 6 volt too.
And I got my new period correct plate today from a junkyard.. And In pa I can use this plate ! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
My bet is that sometimes in the near future you will hear those dreaded words: "You spend more time in the garage with that car than you do with me". Ask me how I know, still have the car, thank God and Greyhound she is gone.
pa passsed a bill saying as long as the plate matches the car year it can be re registered through the state as your plate , and i can can still see all the original pics in the forum, i hope there isnt any problems na she is really cool. we spend alot of time together out there working on it... she really does like the old cars, we drive it alot and she jsut smiles ear to ear.. i can honestly say she is alot different than most..
