Thanks again to all the swindlers. What a blast as usual. Great cars and great people. Liked the last minute decision to eat in Edison. Can't wait for next year. Also there was a car all the way from Wyoming.

  2. Thanks for all the pics. It was such a good time. Always nice to see what cars show up and to meet new people and catch up with friends. There really are some nice cars in the NW and those Canadians always show up with great cars. Thanks to all the Swindlers. Keith

  3. Great pics and looks like a great time! By far the best run in the NW!

This video was super dark so I had to brighten it up a bit.. But now it looks even lower quality than in the beginning..

That's about the best old car video I've ever seen, could have stayed home and watched the reruns, saw you guys on the side of the road but didn't think it would show up on the Hamb. Nice!

  6. Was just getting on here to ask if any of you guys along side the road north of Alger had posted a video to YouTube yet... thanks a million. I've never heard my pickup from the outside of it. I hope that strange whistling was the F1 behind me and not my exhaust.....;):D

Thanks Swindlers, that was a blast. I'm already planning to drive my Impala next year, and loan out the pickup so more friends can come with.:)

Thanks everyone for joining us, (and adapting to our lunch setback). We always aim to please and could not pull this off without your participation. Next year is already in the works...............

    Jack and Nancy,
nice to meet both of you,
'hope to bump into you again sometime

  15. Great photos! Thanks for the thread!

On behalf of the Swindlers, I just wanted to publicly thank everyone who helped out to make this year's 13th Annual World Famous Poker Run a success! It's really all of you guys who faithfully bring your cars to our humble event every year that make it such a great time! Without you, it would still just be a few friends driving around the county together.

As far as things go on our end, it was Andy and Alex who really stepped up to the plate this year and made it all work. Alex busted his hump on driving the route before hand, planning the lunch, and then Andy and Alex were the ones who were clear headed enough to solve the lunch crisis when our hired taco truck couldn't make it! I think taking over the small town of Edison worked well, considering!

Glad you all could be a part of it this year, and congratulations to all the winners...it sure is neat to go to a bad ass car event, and walk away with a pocket full of cash!

Was great meeting you too Paul....did you have some issues on the way home?

  19. Actually I think we all loved the detour to Edison!! This was where the best pictures were and great watering holes and food to fill the belly!!!!!
I also got a few warm welcomes from some new Canadian Hotrodders.

  20. When this day started, I asked Trevor what we do and he just said, follow the group. They direct us really good. I thought with almost 80 cars we would all get separated . But after a few turns and how you guys all had it set up, I was truly amazed at how organized you guys were. My wife and I will be back next year and I will take many more pictures!!!!
This was the most fun I have had just driving!!

although the motor mount was hanging by a thread by the time I rolled 'er into the garage.

I did order Scrapbook, that was the name wasn't it?

Thanks. It would be worth the trip south.

  25. Thanks! That is my car. I thrashed, and got it running a week before the event and drug it up from southwest Wyoming. The Divcos were on loan for the weekend from my buddy Swindler Paul. If there is anyone in the northwest that hasn't been to this run, you are missing out on the best time ever. Being from Wyo. I missed it for years, I will NEVER miss another one. So proud to be a part of this group of great hotrodders.

Another great event that I could get to if I just put my mind to it. (Well, for this one I would have to have my car finished. Someday...) Thanks for sharing all the pictures and videos.

  28. ok all you Swindlers, Beggars, Rat Bastards, DO NOT PUT THE COVER ON THAT HOT ROD YET. Check the oil, fill the gas tank, wash the bugs off the windshield and let's go on one more ROD RUN. in Jack Butlers case, load more batteries in your camera and bring your wife. Rabid Whippet I know you are always camera ready, and you said you wanted one more run before season ends.
Here's the plan, meet up at 8-8:30 am Saturday morning the 13 of October, @ the Triple XXX Root Beer Drive In, 98 N.E. Gilman Blvd. Issaquah, Wa.98027
The route will be the back roads up over Sammamish Plateau, to Fall City, Snoqualmie Falls, North Bend, stop at Snoqualmie Casino for Breakfast Buffet (this will be on your nickel). From there down Highway 18 to Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Enumclaw, Buckley into Orting. Orting is having their annual Orting Pumpkin Fest and Car Show. There will be music, food, arts, crafts, etc.
After that, you can get on highway 167, 405, I-5 or highway 18.
We are calling this Rod Run, The Ted Studer Memorial Pumpkin Run.
no trophies, no dash plaques, no entry fees
