Bob Hudson spares are available for STD service items , as Hudson chassis were used in railton and brough superior cars

That warne car looks very similar to a rollo Robin owned for many years

Thanks. I was pretty dissapointed when I received the car and found that the original rear axle had been swapped for a more modern unit because I really wanted to retain the Austin's mechanical brakes to keep with the motorcycle theme. I searched high and low for an original unit but struck out, so I decided to go with mechanical calipers to compliment the Girling fronts. In the end, I think it's all for the best as the Midget/Sprite rear is quite light with its sheetmetal housing and aluminum differential. And as an added bonus parts are readily available. I've left plenty of adjustability in the brake system and did my best to improve some of the systems original weaknesses, so it will be interesting to see how it all performs. My motto has always been to make it stop before you make it go. If all goes as planned, this cycle car should do both nicely.

This is a very cool picture. I think I might try to do something similar as my build progresses. Kinda reminds me of medical textbooks with the printing on clear plastic overlays. Usually the best parts of vehicle designs are covered up. i guess that's why I love cyclecars, because much like a motorcycle you can see how the exposed systems work.

That might have been me. I asked for structural information on the Laboratoire.

    Thanks you.

    Hi Herb,
Perhaps you'll appreciate the clever simplicity of this one.

Only problem will be finding some-one to put a "sports grind" on the cam for me.

    Cheers, Daryl.

.......and oil pump drive on the right.

Real close, the 8 is air-cooled. This is the water-cooled 12.
I've been looking for one for years, got the perfect little car to put it in.

True. I didn't pay attention to the size of the people standing beside it. If that were a Sunbeam those guys would be nine feet tall ...

Daryl--you bet your sweet bippy I do!!
I would think that if you can find a cam grinder that will "waste" enough grinding wheel to dress it on an angle, a regrind would be possible. Would have to take the wheel off and turn it over to do the other two cams (and redress-but this time just a little) Some flathead Harley cams were on an angle, but no where that much and people reground them. You might find someone to take the job on just so they can take a "look what I can do" photo.

Don't give up too easily on this--I'd like to see it in a car!!

And BTW--thanks--I love that kind of stuff!

    Herb
