2012 Good Guys Hot Rod of the Year?

Dean you told me the Smith 3w from the HRG didn't make the top 5 because it wasn't a hotrod. I asked why and you said hotrods don't have fenders. I was a bit offended because I too have fenders. While I might not have been top 5 material, I do think a fendered car can look like a hotrod. I drive my car and beat on it at will! If a 4inch chopped,louvered,groundhuggin,383 thumper deuce isn't a hotrod then I've been led a stray. Second year I've went on HROTY and it's the most fun you can have at a car show! While that said, the top 5 were on the money! Im sure there were a couple that could have been thrown into the mix like the brown 3w, but I sure wouldn't want to be the judge. From the sounds of your fendered sedan, I'd say it's going to be a hotrod with fenders!???

To me, it's more of the much understood, Sports Rod. I love it. And you wouldn't want to even consider racing Mr. Gloy and his fine ride, either. Gary

 

I actually could believe him saying that, but only as a jab. I know for a fact he doesn't ACTUALLY believe that based on his personal car coming together currently. If you look at the Hot Rod Garage 3W and HONESTLY think that it's not a real hot rod, well....

The 32 of Goolsby Customs broke the magneto at the dragway and then the guys ran to some bad luck on more than one occasion...but they made it home and the 32 is back up and running ....i believe this car would have been a top 5 for sure ....
