Here are a few pics of a 60 I painted a few years ago so you can compare the top.

I'm liking the idea of black, a mile deep, and strait as an arrow. We'll see what the owner says. Keep them ideas coming! You guys are awesome and I love your creative ideas.

  4. I'd consider if you want the Batmobile comments if it's painted black.

That thing looks tough! My .02cents, stick with the race car theme dont try a custom car paint for a BrAWleR! Now cut the mufflers off it and go scare some women and kids. LOL

When it is an 80% crazy body like that the best way to go is take it to 120% crazy with the paint, and blow there minds...like you are looking a a UFO, but at a car show...CANDY and lots of FLAKE! Big daddy Ed Roths' (RIP) sons make lots of both!

Definitely the vintage Stock Car look, Red over white or Blue over white, solid colors no metallics, flakes or pearls. That or flat black but that seems to be overplayed right now.

You're welcome! After looking at the picture again I'm gonna redo it in all gloss black and without the reflection of the '57 Chevy in it. Should have something in a few days. Eli

This is definetly the way I would go. A real attention getter, looks like it just rolled off the track. Now THAT's different.

I cant thank everyone enough for all the help on the ideas.

I had a short visit with the owner, Waynerd, a few days ago and got a peek at the new hood design. I was enjoying my tour his shop so much I forgot to grab a pic of it. All I can say is ..... WOW! We still have some time so keep the ideas coming. I'll see what I can do about a pic or two.

Yup. There good people! They used to live down here in the bottoms and even helped raise me. They are always there to help me and my family out. Can't say enough good things about them! As far as learning from Wayne....patients! That's what I've learned!:D as far as the jeep? I'd prolly just leave that one be!;)

Hey Brian I just heard from the people that I sent my damaged flash drive to. They were able to recover all the information including my 200+ Photoshopped cars. Woo Hoo! As soon as I get the dvds from them I'll get back to work on the gloss black version of Waynerds badass T-Bird. Can you say stoked? :D Eli

I'm thinking of this style, which is similar to what my 12 y/o is wanting to paint his '59 Ranchero. I'm liking the idea of black and white - think early Corvette with white top, white lower panel, black everything else except the 'spear.' Don't know what color'd look right with the black/white combo.

That thing is pure BAD-ASS. I'm not a guy that automatically defaults to black, but its the right choice for that car.

Scallopes and flakes I don't that would work, it isn't a custom or a sled. This is an in your face car. I would go with the Black maybe some metalic silver highlights.

Or, blue/Yellow like the Blue angels colors, or black/orange

A peak at the hood will make alot of difference on my choices.
