Yeah it does, if you download the pics and blow them up you can see them.

I'd be curious to know what the reaction at GM/Cadillac was when they realized that you found it?

Probably exactly zero. There's nobody there anymore that would have been involved with the project.

And that's truely a shame. With Cadillac's 100+ year history, they've build some remarkable cars ... too bad they're so indifferent about their heritage.

That's not relevant to whether or not there is anyone there that cares about GM/Cadillac heritage.

Well I have written to GM and I think that they will show an interest in the car.

Here's some paperwork to support the car's authenticity

The car is SO # 50110

  18. Boy that is great that you were able to get those photos! You are really building the provenance.
I agree on the grille, it has a lot nicer flow to it. But to replicate that one would not be helpful for the value. It might be nice to try to make one to use while you have the car, and restore the one in the car now.
You must feel like it is Christmas morning everyday now!

I agree. Jealous would be an understatement.
I'm glad it fell into the hands of someone who realized what it is.

It's a cool car and a great find, but really - do you think anyone at Cadillac would care? Over the past 100 years they have made hundreds of one-off cars and it's not reasonable to think they can keep tabs on them all or somehow take an interest in a car they tinkered with 50 years ago.

Not to mention the fact that Cadillac is a business first and a car maker a distant second. "Interest" equals money and I just don't see them spending money in any fashion on old stuff.

actually because they are business is one reason they might be interested. Its unique, a one off.. low miles, basically its a time capsule and who being a car guy that likes caddys wouldnt pop into a local dealership showing a one off super rare car that hasnt been seen for 50 years..oh and while your there look at our 2013 line of caddys.. and heres a balloon..have a drink..oh you should see the new models power plant.. see we been doing it right for years...

It drives incredible, I'm surprised, no squeaks, rattles or nothing. Gotta fix the A/C, and for sure replace the master and wheel cylinders. I think she's enjoying being out in the sun.

I'm kinda with the fellow that thought it may be to valuable to keep.

Anyone care to speculate what a chainer might pay for that at BJ??

MY guess 25 to 50 grand

  30. GM cares at least enough about their history to maintain this Heritage Center online. Lots of interesting reading and information.

Scroll down and click to list the Vehicle Information Kits for Cadillacs from 1902 to 1974, including LaSalle models as well.

Here's a link for the Info Kit for the 1962 models, if you haven't found it already.
