I have a 1958 Chevy short wide and was wondering if a 1957 Chevy panel wagon is the frame.

I guess that depends what you mean by "panel wagon". There is no such thing, but there is a panel truck:

The 57 panel truck has the same frame as the short bed 57 pickup, but it does have two frame extensions riveted to the back of the frame, and a sway bar mount at the front. And the 58 truck frame is a couple inches longer at the front than the 57 frame. So you can cut down a 58 frame to fit a 57, or weld on a bit to a 57 frame to make it fit a 58

Seems i read somewhere that the radiator mounts are different from 55-57 and 58-59's w/the sheet metal change over.

The core support mounts on the frame are a bit different too.

What's the mount look like on the 5-7? I know the 8,9 just has a small bracket riveted on the frame ( I guess to raise it) should be easy to fab though if he has a donor frame.

The 55-57 has a small mount riveted to the frame also, there are two different versions for 6 or 8 cylinder (the radiator was in a different place). Neither one is the same as the 58-59 bracket.
