That's interesting. Tom (The cars owner and builder) and a friend cast this quick change themselves. Take a look at the article attached. It shows Tom with the casting they made. I wouldn't be surprised if he made more than one.

Wow! That has to be the same as the one I got. I would be really interested in seeing the one in this car with the cover off...

Can you post up the rest of the article you scanned? What Magazine is that in? Month/Date?

    Thanks,

    Neal

    Amazing Car!

I'm not understanding the values on the timing cards. Are they saying 1/4 mile in 8 seconds? Doesn't make sense. Anybody have a link to the history of these cards?

The cars were timed at each marker. That's how they determined the MPH.

Makes sense. I was stuck in the modern standing start mentality.

    Very neat history!

Street Rodder Magazine is doing some things on the car, and we've been contacted by a couple others.

Probably not. she's 88 years old.

The son might drive it on occasion.

Hmmmm....The article says Jack Clifford. I wonder if that would be Jack Clifford, of Clifford Engineering fame?
The company is still in business, although the customer service has taken a beating under the son's ownership/management.

Got a chance to see this baby last Saturday at Terry's shop. Just amazing to walk around it and look at the details & one off built parts, and the condition is incredible. The interior looks like it is just a few years old - what a time warp car.
