Fired up the engine today. Some ignition tuning and transmission oil is next on the "to do" list. And yes,im gonna fix those spark plug wires so they sit nice and tidy
Just a slow ride to check that nothing leaks and to get the transmission to shift right/fill it up with oil. Sure got alot of insperation to work on the car.
well it looks like you did a damn good job.anytime you want to come and visit the good ol usa you can come stay here awhile.free! ill just put some cutting tools and a welder in your hands...lol
Well now that you say it,ive been planning a trip to the US. The plan were to help HAMB;ers with their cars if they fix a bed and food
There were a nice layer of fiberglass under the trunk, grinded it all down and got some more body work Started with the left side, got the bottom plate in and welded in the bottom of the rear fender. There is a original seam between the fender and piece under the trunk that i wanted to keep so it looks original. There is some grinding left on the pics.
Got the drivers door down to bare metal,i thought i had to grind that f#ckin piant of forever! My garage looked like a snowstorm. A little rust in the corners but i knew that.
Did some work on the oilpan today, the Nova got a special pan to clear the steering. I cut my standard s/b pan alittle and now the steering runs free. Got a Milodon race oilpan special built for Nova but its for older s/b with the stick on drivers side so it doesent fit this engine.
Ive found alot of nice engines around 400hp but i cant afford them. Saving up for a new trip to Florida.
Said it earlier, and I'll say it again. I have a soft spot for '65 Nova's! Love your car, and you're doing a great job. Mike
Ha ha. I dont think they needed to use acid, they got high of all the bondo they used under the paint.
