    Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone has some cool Mild custom tri-five 55-57 chevy pics they could share?

I have been through the various tri-five picture threads, but have seen very little in the way of customs(don't get me wrong, I like them all). Tons of gasser, hot rod, street rod (resto mod) pics out there, just not too much in the way of mild customs..

Sorry if I missed a thread covering this... Just trying to get ideas on how to finish my car up, and would love to see some triditional custom pics, that are not billet clad resto-mod type, if they are out there... Although they seem few and far between...

Thanks in advance! I tried to load a pic of where I am at now, but keep getting a error. I'll keep trying though..

Yeah, the picture thing I think is due to my work computer.. I will get one up tonight when I get home. Always seem to have trouble from work..

Heres a pic of mine that gassersgarage took last weekend in ventura. Do a search for, "The definitive mild custom". Tons of nice ones in there.

Great looking 57, thanks for posting. Love the look without the quarter trim, so clean looking.

55 210 handyman wagon. Nomad quarters, Buick tail lites, Bel Air trim.

A handyman wagon in two tone would have only the roof another color. See post #4

Stunning! I know I read a whole discussion the other day about wide whites on 5 spokes, ect., and although they are not all that "wide", the I think the white walls on this car look right at home.. Thanks for posting!

Besides looking lame, wide-whites on 5 spokes don't work together because they are from two completely different and distinct eras (50's, 60's). The whitewalls on my '55 are only 1 1/8" wide...

Thanks Woody. I always said my favorite cars were Model A's and 39-40 Fords. But everytime I see a 55 Chevy my heart beats faster. At my age that's a good thing!

I love that blue 55 Chevy. Wide whites were on 30's / 50's cars.
I bought a new 75 Ford truck with 1 1/8" WW. Drove to the Parts Store and bought chrome slotted Superior wheels. Unusual back then for a pick up truck. Immediately had them mounted. Had to argue with the tire shop to put the WW out. Later I got lots of compliments. Had a 57 VW with 4" WW's on it. Had a pink 49 Ford kustomized coupe with 4" WW's, side pipes, Merc turnpike cruiser skirts, etc.. And other weird combinations. Just remember, whatever it is, if it's yours F*^# the other guys!

Thanks for posting! I have to admit, I am digging the visor on that Yellow 57! And that Red/Orange 55 is just plain sick!

Here is a mild kustom we found and are seeking history of, before we make any major changes. I have found clues of time in Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Florida, before being stored outside in California. I drove it to the first Santa Maria and home to Oregon. Unusual color combination should help you remember if you have ever seen this car. Pieces of it's history greatly appreciated.

Sorry rfraze, that is NOT a mild custom, it is an ugly eighties era street rod.
