  12. Was a time that I made a living from old car parts. It involved me getting dirty and lots of cussing.

Hell I suppose that if you get right down to it I made a new language from old car parts. I remember once I was setting up a new old leaf spring for an old sailor. I managed to get the palm of my have pinched between the leaves and just turned the air blue. The old fella said he heard words used in ways he had never heard before and even a couple of new words. :D

I made a big empty building with lots of space turn into a big building with no space in it. Then I made a car which got some space back, and then somehow that space went away too.

  19. Made my own version of the Cadillac ranch from a 55 Pontiac 4 door that we found in a junkyard about 6 years ago. The car was JUNK so we didn't feel bad about using it for yard art.

I wired a dashboard light bulb to an old 9v cell phone charger and the taillight is lit day & night. I used industrial enamel and brush painted it before I sank it in the ground.

EVERY little kid that comes to the house thinks that there is a whole old car buried under my house!

Funny thing is that once I painted it, I stuck it in this garden (right outside the dining room window & next to the deck) just to mess with my wife. When I started to move it a few days later, she asked me to leave it there because she liked it! Her parents are assured that we're absolutely crazy now (look for my other posts on how we decorated the detatched garage into an old Texaco station!) and that's the way that I like it!!! Keeps them from visiting very much. Also the way that we like it!!!

I'll try to remember to post some other photos of some cool things that a friend of mine made for her son's bedroom out of some junk that I gave her. She used an old Rambler taillight and housing mounted on a table lamp base to make a nightlight and used an old license plate as a switch plate for the overhead lights....

I like that a lot. Never made any lamps or clocks, but did a lot of that other stuff. It's amazing how much room three cars take when all tore apart in a two car garage!:D
