Was the 1955 Buick special a 6 volt or 12 volt system? And what does it take to do the conversion ? I've done it in a 62 Chevy truck.and dint change anything but the generator to alternator.didnt know if it was the same thing.
1953 Buick Special was the last of the 6v systems. The resto of the 1953 models were 12v. Your 1955 would be 12v. No need to convert.
