Event Coverage vintage drag racing new symrna speedway florida

dont know if anyone knows but they are doing vintage drag racing at new symrna speedway in central fl this sunday sep 16 noon till five it is five dollars a car.

 

Neat, who is / are the promoter, host club, etc.?? Gary

I just saw this post.
I have a front engine dragster. Can't find a thing elsewhere on this event,,,or any dragstrip..only the circle track in new smyrna.
My local dragstrip doesn't have aything tonight and I'm looking for something to do tonight or tomorrow.
Please post more infor.

I used to race at New Smyrna on the circle track when did they put in a drag strip?

 

Not sure how there gonna do it but should be fun only 5 bucks cant go wrong

 

I didn't make it, I had car trouble. How did it go? Did anyone take pictures?

 

Best time I had at a show, you could race with a friend in the car. I thought I saw 4 people in one car going by. No rules no tech to pass, I saw 2 guys on motorcycles racing with no hemets on! My 5 and 7 year olds went with my friend in his 32 4 times each and they loved it.
I missed 2nd on a pass and bent 2 intake valves early in the day, I still made 3 more passes before she started to sound funny. Drove her home, softly now I get to pull the heads off again!! Been down this road before.
Great day with the family and it was my birthday too!! There should be more stuff like this. Cant upload pics some security key is missing??

I was there. Had a great time. Was definitely entertaining. My car is waiting for a trans swap, so I sat in the stands. Like usual.
