Folks Of Interest Clutch Popper Wednesdays

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Jalopy Kid, Jan 6, 2011.

  1. Another Wednesday has come and gone. We are still in summer mode, which means all we did is eat chicken, and hang out. It was Lee's night, so we changed the flasher in his truck, then called it a night.

  2. BORING!:D
hey can you at least make something up?:D

  3. So...
Here is what we ate last night.

Interesting thing here is, Lee cooks chicken the exact same way he builds hotrods.
Fat Dave was ready to get at it.

My kid and Colin did some detail work under the hood of Dave's car.

Lee and other Dave started on the rear filler panel.

    Trim to fit.

Dave's keen eye watches for any flawed craftsmanship.

Fred spots a bag of dog treats.

    Panel all laid out.

Uhh, not to offend Dave but looking through the pics you'll see the only ass shot is of Fat Dave, not hotflint Dave.

    AKA big dick Dave......

  13. Whats going on up there fellas?

  14. I'm not sure where Johnny is with the update, just to sum it up a bit, two weeks ago we started double teaming it. With 5 or 6 guys working on one car it's hard to get a lot accomplished, so we are doing two cars a night now. Obviously dinner is split by two people now.
Two weeks ago Fat Dave and Big Dick Dave teamed up. We got the clutch and tranny back in Fat Daves fairlane, and Big Dick Dave got his cables hooked up to open his doors from the outside.
This week is was suppose to be me and Johnny, or Charlie, however both Johnny and Charlie are waiting on parts and funds so they both passed. So instead it was me and Big Dick Dave again.
Fat Dave and I worked on the T roadster. Sub frame and body mounts are almost done. Charlie worked on the dragster engine, and Johnny and Big Dick Dave worked on the fleetline. The 6V gen has failed once again on the fleetline (3rd time this summer) so they spent the night stuffing a 12V alternator in to a chevy generator case.
    We bbbq'd pork chops

  15. I've not read any of this before and enjoyed all the photos. Love the A bone roadster.

Sure did! Thank you! Should I sand down the bad spots to the bottom and leave the rest or should remove all the old stuff I sprayed on there?

  29. Sorry I was at SEMA this week and missed this. I would probably sand off all the stuff on the one side that seemed to go bad just to be safe. Unless the other side has started to show issues it should be fine at this point.

OK, Thanks! It seems to be a little bit cracked or shattered looking above the rear fender on the drivers side and a little bit on the rear fender, we will see what this winter brings on so I can repair it
