Thanks John, it's no show car but a fun cruiser.

No, I actually don't belong to the Fairlane Club or any national club.

A great resource for parts and technical information. You should check it out! I held a mini-meet here in Erie about a month ago and had some Pgh members drive up for it. the FCA is for ALL intermediate Ford and Mercury products from 1962 to 1976. You'd fit right in!

As for no show car... mines not either. Maybe 80 or 85 points out of 100. Nice looking but a driver. After all, that's what they're for, right?

    Hey, LOPES!

How about you? Are you a member of the Fairlane Club of America? That '63 Comet would be a nice addition!

About half way between Wilkes Barre and Allentown on 309.
It is a real 60's car. Fun to drive but you do have to work at it

I don't know if I ever updated but I now live back in Pittsburgh. Mars, PA to be exact. Starlite cruises are over for the year.

If you EVER make it to Pittsburgh and are even within 100 miles of here you need to stop at the Starlite Cruise, May through the Friday before Labor Day. Biggest weekly cruise on the East coast. Its in Wexford, PA about 15 minutes North of Pittsburgh.

But be warned, big is not always good. Imagine going to a cruise at Walmart where no space was set aside for the cruise cars, and you just had to park among the shoppers, then walk around through every parking lot in the plaza trying to find the other cruisers.
I guess I'm an old fart and can't change with the times, but I sure long for the old days, when car cruises were actually about old cars and car guys rather than "the scene". But I guess it's ok for something to do.

Sounds like a I-hafta-do-that-just-once kind of cruise! I'll put it on the calendar for next year...

    Doug,

Had a '65 Caliente back in '72. Loved that car! Now I have a '66 Fairlane 500 XL.

Are you a member of the Fairlane Club of America? With those Comets and Fairlanes you should be! Our National meet is going to be in York, PA in 2013. Would be great to meeet you there and see your cars!

  27. I chimed in before (a couple years ago) but just wanted to see if any PA guys here ever drive out to any of the long-distance bigger shows, i.e.- Viva Las Vegas, Lone Star Roundup, Paso, etc? We did the last Viva and are planning on it again, wouldn't mind getting a caravan together!

Hello fellow Pennsylvanian rodders. As far as I can tell via search, I haven't already posted in this thread so here I am.

I'm from just west of Philadelphia. I don't see many yellow roadsters around so if you see one it might be me.

Don- Vee you must be J Arnsbergers buddy. I would be interested in a caravan if I could get any of my shit to stay together that long. I'm in Mooretown PA.

  30. Nope, haven't the slightest clue who that is, but what the hey, I don't mind meetin' up with some new folks!
