Someone has offered to trade me a 1959 GMC for my 1960 Lincoln.

I like both, but of course the trade has its pros and cons..

let me know what you all think.

  2. Everyone owns a GMC....Keep the Lincoln!

  3. I like the Lincoln better, but trucks are easier to build.

  4. From what I see, take the truck.

I don't know what issues your lincoln has... but you need to crawl all around under that gmc and look at the possible rust issues. Building a 58 chevy pu at the moment for a buddy and there is a lot of rust out issues in the hinge area, front cab mounts, lower front fenders, rear cab mounts, steps, front spring mounts in frame, crossmember mounts at rear spring also, cab corners and rear view mirror area near the windshield!!!

My only issue is that if I ever get in a financial pickle I think the truck would bring more money If I had to let it go... kind of like my own bail out plan. ha ha.

  10. If you wanna be like everyone else get the truck!

How many of those Lincolns do you see?

Do you have kids? If there is more than two in the family I'd take the car. If you have another car, take the truck.

Lincoln all day long. Both will have rust/metal issues. They take take the same amount of time and materials to fix. As long as you have al of the parts for the lincoln, it's not only more desirable when done but worth a whole lot more.

Side note - Wanna put a price on the lincoln outright?l

I have a daughter, but we don't ride in the lincoln much as she is only 9 months old.. but the option is very nice.

that's a tough one! If you're considering dumping the lincoln, maybe you know how much work it'll be to finish?

  21. And it will be cheaper and easier to build as well.

But it depends on what you like, Big Old Tuna Boats or a Pick Em Up Truck

Highspeed lowdrag is right. Lincoln is actually more desirable to the custom and classic car crowd, and will be worth more. Not seeing how the truck is a better bail out plan.

Those trucks are everywhere. The lincoln is badass. .02
