Anyone build a drive on ramp so that all four wheels will be off the floor?

Once in a while at garage auctions etc. you can find one of those lay-down on the floor hydraulic lifts that pick the car up about 18" or so I guess.

I have a KWIK lift on one side of my garage. If you don't have the height for a 4 post they work well. They are out of business now due to the economy but you can still find them used one in a while. Probably cheaper than buying the steel to do it right.

  6. A few months back Hot Rod magazine did an article on Shelby and there was a picture of the shop with all of the cobras on wooden ramps. Kind of got me thinking of doing something similar with steel and putting a winch at the front to move the car.

  8. like this? it's a kwik lift as MrForty mentioned

i have two friends with them, neither like it. it's not high enough to sit up underneath the car so you are still on your back.

if you want one you should be able to find a used one CHEAP
