A friend calls me today and says he's on his way to pick up a 34 Ford pick up. I said "Where?". Turns out it's about 20 miles away. Been sitting there since 1965. The guy who built it's family had it. He passed away in like 1963. They had it shipped from Texas in '65. The family member changed the seat in it and that's all in the last 50+ years. 34 on a 32 frame with 32 car fenders and a late 40's early 50 8BA motor. Talk about FRIGGIN BITCHIN".
even the guys who hate "barn find" on the thread title will be happy with that one. As happy as the "guy" in the orange shirt
If you look close at the column, it's upside down. WTF LOL It shifts the gears great. It's a really cool truck. I'm going to do some beating on him for it later.
34 cab, but everything else is 32 i believe. My friend will poke it away beside his 34 coupe that he built in the mid to late 70's and it'll sit. Hopefully i'll own it someday. It needs looked over and driven IMO.
Nice! I dunno what those pedals are out of, but the same ones came in my '33 P/U. Must have been a popular swap-in.
Very cool. Hope he cleans it up, gets it running and drives the wheels off of it! IMO, I wouldnt change a thing of that pick up.
There were a few Deuces with column shifts back then. That 'upside-down' trick was performed by removing a pin, flipping the shift tube 180*, and avoiding cutting a NOTCH in your column bracket. (the stick got real low if the car was channeled) But it was popular in the late '40s thru the '50s...in Cali, anyway.
