Hey guys, so I might be picking up a 63 fairlane and was wondering if anyone has any knowledge of getting a air ride set up for it? Is there a company that maybe has a bolt on kit? Any wisdom would be great thanks! Oh also if you have any photos of a 63, 64 bagged feel free to post them. I would love to check them out. Thanks, George
im now doing my 63 galaxie and bought the seperates from ridetech, shockwaves on front basic controller and airoverleaf on back, should be fitted in the next couple of months cos im still driving at every chance i get
Awesome, How much did the set up cost you? do you have any photos? I would love to check it out. Thanks, George
heres the front shockwaves http://www.ridetech.com/store/1960-1964-ford-galaxie-shockwave-front-system-black-series.html heres the bags for rear http://www .ridetech.com/store/airoverleaf-3000lb-underframe-2.5-leaf-kit.html and heres the control setup http://www.ridetech.com/store/ridepro-standard-analog-4-way-system.html i did upgrade to the better compressor with 5 gallon tank but now wish i had got 2 3 gallon tanks for space reasons. im fitting tank and gauges tomorrow night
Cool, thanks so much! So what was the total cost? Like $2,500? Do you run it with just the bags or did you have to relocate the shocks? What's the part number for the air over lead kit you used? That link doesn't work. Thanks! George
total cost was close to £1600 ,i havent fitted the bags yet at back but im following the instructions and removing 3 of my 6 leafs and running new rear dampers.hopefully this will give the parked stance i want ,if not i will lose another leaf. i bought the 3000lb underframe kit
All cars require shock absorbers on all four corners. Anybody else who tells you otherwise is ignorant of their function, or trying to kill you. Shockwaves have them inside, but if you use a regular bag, you must use them elsewhere.
