Thanks a TON to all that came out to the Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption Drags at RiverDale Raceway in Toutle, Wa. We had a GREAT time!!! The racing was awesome. It was a beautiful day in the shadow of Mt. St. Helens. Cant wait to do it again next year. you can see all the pics here:http://billetproof.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=14668 Jeff Allison
Had a blast! Thanks so much!! Next year we will bring even more cars out-can't wait! Thanks again for all your efforts and for throwing an outstanding event.
Thanks for putting on the venue for all of us to enjoy! I'm just sad that it's going to be another year before we do it again!
Thanks Alan for all the hard work. 11 passes, I think that I got my money's worth. Can't wait for next year. Spencer
I saw a few people with 20+ passes. If you dont get yer fill of drag racing at this event, its yer own derned fault. we MIGHT be working on a 2nd Billetproof Hot Rod Eruption Drag event... will let ya'll know if we get something worked out.
Alan, sure would be nice to throw in the second event on Sunday after the Chehalis Fairground gathering in June, I know that would make for an extra long weekend for you, just a thought.
Fantastic show Alan, you will lure many old racers like me back into drag racing with the format you are using. Simple formula, line them up and race! A second event would be great, it was nice to meet you.
since you got a picture of me taking pictures, i will post a picture of you doing your thing still wish it was on a different weekend. two years in a row I have driven all night from Pleasanton GG show to attend this event.. will do it again next year again if I have to..
* does that 'point two fingers at my eyes then your eyes' thing* the only problem with the June date is the weather is still a little sketchy. Dont know that we could draw a TON of bigger cars to a June event. but I would hope we could draw more of the regular show attendees to come out and race if the weather holds for the whole weekend. The upside to it for us is that we are already there, so its not like adding the extra expense of a whole nuther event... and if the weather doesnt hold, we can just cancel the drags. Seems to make sense on a lot of different fronts. the downside is that after a 14-16 hour day of putting on the show the day before Melissa and I are usually pretty nackered. But hey, sleep when you are dead right? There is RACING to be done!!! We are working on it and will likely just give it a try... whats the worst that can happen?
Let me know if you want or need any assitance with a second event. Our club would be more than happy to help and/or host the event. Just let me know.
Great event. Of course the highlight of my day was to run "HEADS UP" against Rocky and his "twin". Thanks to Allen for putting on the event and thanks to everyone else who showed up and ran. - Walt Northwest Vintage Dragsters http://home.comcast.net/~northwest.vintage.dragsters/site/
