This is a blown Lincoln V12 that has a custom blower, end plates, snout, pulleys, and carb plate. Topped with 4 chrome Stromberg 97's. Built by H&H Flatheads.

Honestly, I don't blame you... Just wait for Mr. $$$ to pay you to build another and enjoy it! I can only imagine what that must sound like.

Man, that's a sweet looking engine and would make anyone proud to have in front of their firewall.
I'm just wondering about the lack of much V-belt engagement on the blower pulleys...appears less than 60 degrees. Seems it could start slipping when the blower starts making boost.

There sure isn't much belt contact on that top pulley. JC

  10. Nice job Mike as usual.

Good point ... it looks like it wants to be on the other side of the tensioner, if space permits.

He may have just put the belt that way for the picture, though.

Might be okay since it is cogged.

Very cool looking engine in any case!

Might just be the view, but how does the right hand water intake clear the belt?

  14. It may be all show and no go. Those belts have got to slip.

    Great looking piece of machinery....

They will slip...those are "cogged" or relieved belts. The inner part of the belt is cut away to help it flex . The power transfer is not noticibly affected as the sides are still the correct V shape.

However, I do agree that there doesnt seem to be much "wrap"

The pulleys are all smooth; not positive drive.

Looking closely at the belts, it appears they have different cog "pitches".

Go for a short time with no cooling......It's a mock up,the belt drive is probably being thought out?

I am glad you all like the belts. It is mocked up and the belt is to long and it was all they had at the last minute.

I plan on using a much shorter belt to bring the adjustable swing arm down and the alternator.

Yeah, I thought it might just be for mockup ... With the attention to detail on the rest of the engine, not figuring out the belts seemed a bit out place. LOL.

I didn't mean to sound critical when I mentioned the belt contact area. It was just a observation. The engine looks great. What is it going in? JC

    Just beautiful!

Can you share a bit about what's inside and what kind of power you expect it to make? I'm just getting started on one and wondering what's working for others.
