Putting together a model a with a gmc 302 straight six in it and my motor mount is under the harmonic balancer and it hits the tie rod. The tie rod goes through my radius rods good like it is so I can't move the steering arms to help. It just needs a little drop in the center to clear the front motor mount. Also since I would lose length I will have to make one from scratch, do I use DOM tubing or something else?

It was common on many cars in the 1910 era, so it should work fine today with the proper size tube. Bob

  4. I'd rather jack the front of the motor up, "a little".
