Anyone have a black car with creme/tan wheels and W/W tires?

I really hate to ask this question since I know there have been tons of wheel color post, but my wheels will be powder coated in the morning and I'm having second thoughts. I did a search but didn't find what I am looking for. I'd really love to see a good picture of one. Thanks and sorry to take up space.

I think your second thought are just the jitters GK. Are they going on the one in your avatar? If so I would say great call on the colors. Also if you put the caps back on even better.

Thanks Jesse, but that pic makes them look white.

Yes, the one in the avatar, and yes the caps are getting the same color (if you know what '39 caps look like).

The "second thought" shouldn't be about the color. It should be about the powder coating. Shoot 'em with a good epoxy primer to prevent rust, then rattle can paint. It'll cost you $10 and an afternoon to change color, again and again if you want.

  9. This is how our old rancheroo looked when it arrived in the country from Oz.....I fairly quickly repainted the rims satin black, much better. IMHO
I think cream or beige tends to take away too much of the impact of the whitewalls. Thats just me tho'.
Some of the above pics do look good, maybe it depends on the car?

I'm very pleased with the results. There is more contrast in color then this photo shows.

Like to see it without the WW. What is this fascination with whitewalls? Said it before, I've never seen a car they improved the looks of.

Yah, they wouldn't look very good on your traditional hot rod Z06.

  14. My O/T pickup but no whitewalls. Black and tan go together like ham and eggs IMHO.
