anyone named their kids after cars / parts ?

Aren't they all?

 

My son's name is Lincoln.

My wife and I were going through names and that was one. During a conversation at a restaurant I went to the can and over the PA was playing "Hot Rod Lincoln" and after the last line it stuck.

"Son, you're gonna' drive me to drinkin' If you don't stop drivin' that Hot Rod Lincoln"

We just add a comma after "hot rod".

We had a German Shepherd named Fairlane and our current Shepherd mix is named Dakota. Had a Dakota pickup when we got him.

 

Named my son after two of his grandfathers....he loves the fact that his initials are SSA...ass backwards...his mother swears I did that on purpose...

a mates cat is called chevy, and another mates son is called Norton after the motorbikes

my cat was called stupid, after the owner of every car I ever owned...

 

I once told my ex-wife when she was pregnant,if we had a boy,we would name him Edward after her Grandfather and Richard after my Dad.Call him Dick Ed!! She didn't seem to like the idea!!

 

You can't use that 'till they are teenagers.

 

My sons middle name is Mercury.

 

Not car names but I have a friend his sons are, Harley and Chopper, his daughter is Mary Jane. I quess my oldest could be a car name, Austin, but I got his name from a baby name book, I only made it as far as the A's and had to pick something.

 

John Wayne was called 'Duke' after his dog. (better than 'Marian Morrissey'!)

Indiana Jones's dog was named 'Indiana'. (Sean Connery, his Dad, confirmed Indy was indeed named after his dog. (Indy movie #3)

A few on here have nicknamed themselves...lowest of low.

 

We'll I did carve a real cute kitty out of a turd once, then named it Peanut... does that count ?

 

Met a beautiful gal named Porsche Diamond. I asked about the unusual name, and she said she had legally changed it to reflect her two favorite things. I thought about doing the same, but figured the judge wouldn't go for Beer Fuck.

My daughter's initials.....B.M.W.!...we call her Beamer!

My wife's name is Shelby, it took awhile to find her!

How about a tractor? I got a boy first name McCormick...actually after Cyrus McCormick

 

My son has a car first name and a tractor middle name........Hudson Oliver Foreman.

 

We named my son after my wife's dad. We call him

A friend had named his son Austin - but nobody associates it with the motor marque because they stopped making cars in 1989.

HA! The wife said if we had another boy he should be Oliver but I thought it going too far! Instead we had a girl...and it just dawned on me..named

One mates son is called Hudson and another mate has a son called Aston and his youngest daughter is called Dakota.

 

I happened to catch a news article the other day about a guy arrested in Florida whos name, or at least the name he gave, was Jackmeoff Mudd. For some reason this thread reminds me of that.

I guess if you're going to name a kid after a car part, call them Differential, because at some point they're bound to be a pain in the rear end.

 

Have a friend with a dog named stain. Should see the look on peoples face when he yells "come stain"
